The PocketWizard AC3 ZoneController for Canon - is a new accessory for ControlTL system equipment. By attaching it to a MiniTT1 or FlexTT5 operating as a transmitter, you can control the power of the slave flash units without leaving the camera. The flashes can be operated both in manual mode and in CLS | / i-TTL mode; it is also possible to combine modes. ControlTL ™. Used in the MiniTT1 ™ and FlexTT5 ™ radio synchronizers, this PocketWizard technology transfers the entire communication between the camera and slave flash units to the radio channel. This eliminates the limitations of using infrared waves to trigger flashes. But that's not all. PocketWizard specialists are constantly improving technology, introducing new functions and improving the work of old ones. See here for information on updating firmware. E-TTL II compatible. The AC3 module makes working with the Canon E-TTL II system even easier. Manual flash control. Using the rotary dials of the AC3 module, you can easily control the output of remote flash units in a range of six steps (1 - 1/64) in 1/3-stop increments. Slave group management. Remote flash units can be split into two or three individually controlled slave groups. Flash output in E-TTL II mode is adjustable from -3 to +3 stops in 1/3-stop increments. Combination of groups operating in manual and E-TTL II modes is possible. Also, any of the slave groups can be turned off without leaving the camera. PowerTracking. A function that automatically corrects the brightness of flash units fired in A mode when you change your camera's sensitivity (ISO), aperture, or exposure compensation (FEC) settings. Switch the slave group to manual (M) mode using the corresponding lever on the AC3 module and PowerTracking will be disabled, allowing full manual power control. PowerTracking settings are configured through the PocketWizard Utility software. Compatible with studio flashes. The AC3 module is compatible with PowerST4 receiver and AC9 adapter. They enable the AC3 module to control the power of Elinchrom RX (PowerST4) and AlienBees or White Lightning (AC9) studio lighting fixtures. Simplicity of design. The AC3 ZoneController module, which mounts on the hot shoe of the MiniTT1 or FlexTT5 master, is extremely compact and weighs almost nothing. The slave groups are controlled using three switches and three rotary discs, a pair for each group. The switches set the operating mode of the group: A, automatic (E-TTL II / PowerTracking), M, manual, or Ø, disable the group. Easy-to-read rotary dials adjust the brightness of the corresponding flash group.
