While the aperture ring release switch can prevent unwanted noise from being recorded when shooting movies with sound, the built-in AFL button can be assigned additional functions to expand the range of operations available on the lens. In addition, the rounded 11-blade diaphragm contributes to pleasing bokeh quality.
